A while back I got this lathe and have used it to make mostly tools and other pieces and parts I need. With the new shop, I was able to set up a dedicated space for the lathe. It’s a fine little lathe, but there are some things I’m doing to it. First was a major clean up, then small improvements and replacement of parts. In this case, I’m making replacement brass thumbscrews for the collars on the cross and compound slides. Did they turn out perfect? Almost. The knurling could be better, but they will function perfectly. Metal turning is very fun and useful so I hope to make more videos in the future using my Logan 400.
